Pittsburgh Pirates Host Dystonia Awareness Night
Members of the Western Pennsylvania Dystonia Support Group led by Ed Cwalinski and MaryRae Nee were invited by the Pittsburgh Pirates to attend Tuesday’s game against Cincinnati in acknowledgement of Dystonia Awareness Month. Special thanks to Chris Mack, Co-Host of The Fan Morning Show on 93.7 and Tara Sorley for this special Dystonia Day with the Pirates.
The annual Pittsburgh Dystonia Zoo Walk will take place on September 23. Participants who register by September 10 will be eligible to win a prize pack of Pirates memorabilia including a Jordy Mercer signed bat. Click here to register.
Pittsburgh is one of 13 cities across the U.S. hosting a Dystonia Zoo Walk in 2018. Last year, Zoo Walks in a dozen cities drew over 5,000 participants. The Pittsburgh Dystonia Zoo Walk is a family-friendly community day at the Zoo to raise awareness and funds for medical research toward a cure. September is Dystonia Awareness Month.
