DMRF Hosts First Dystonia Zoo Walk of 2017
The DMRF thanks members of the Central California Dystonia Support Group and leaders Luanne Pinedo Madden, David Madden, and Holly Machado for hosting the first Dystonia Zoo Walk of the year this past weekend at the Fresno-Chaffee Zoo. Many thanks as well to Drs. Helm and Hutchison for sharing insights into diagnosing and treating dystonia. Holly and her daughter Marisa, shared their story in an interview with Channel 24. Participants were joined by Parker, mascot of the Fresno Grizzlies Baseball Team in kicking off a series of 12 similar walks planned for throughout 2017. Last year more than 5000 individuals attended Dystonia Zoo Walks around the country.
