In 2005, nearly 10 years after losing his voice, vocalist and bass guitarist D.C. Hathaway was diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia. He has worked with stars such as JoDee Messina, Blake Shelton, Penny DeHaven, The Judds, Juice Newton and many other artists, and has won multiple music and broadcasting awards throughout his career. Although country music is his first love, today D. C. makes his mark in multiple music genres playing guitar, six-string bass and keyboards as a solo act or with his band, Off the Wagon. He is a B.M.I. affiliated songwriter, producer, arranger and private music instructor in his music teaching studio, Seabean Studios West in Imperial Beach, California. He now devotes his life to spreading awareness about dystonia. His internet radio show, “D. C. Coast to Coast,” features independent artists globally who can’t get airplay on mainstream radio. He also uses this show to promote dystonia awareness and do fundraising events. He asks that you make a gift to support dystonia research and end this debilitating disease.
