You Can Be A Dystonia Advocate!
Make a Difference in the Lives of People with Dystonia
Do you have dystonia or know someone who has it? Would
you like to contribute to finding a cure? You can make a difference in the life
of people who are affected by dystonia by becoming an advocate. Come and join others to educate legislators
as to the needs of the dystonia community while sharing your personal
experiences with dystonia. Advocacy Day is immensely satisfying, easy (training
provided) and fun!
On April 29 & 30, come to Washington, DC and join
others who are part of the Dystonia Advocacy Coalition (DAC). Let’s make a difference together!
Last year, dystonia advocates
helped to:
Increase funding for the
National Institutes of Health – to support research that will advance dystonia
research
Protect regional Medicare
discretion to determine coverage of DBS for qualifying persons
- Maintain access to effective treatments for
dystonia
