The New Jersey Chapter of the DMRF once again demonstrated their commitment to restoring the Freedom to Move for the dystonia community as they hosted the 15th Annual Tricky Tray on October 16, 2008. The timely theme of this year's event was "Proud to Be An American." The beautiful Westmount Country Club was decorated in red, white, and blue and each attendee received a beautiful sparkling American flag pin donated by Carolee Fashions.

and Norm Gebeloff.
This year’s event featured over 300 baskets and was attended by over 350 guests who were treated to a fabulous dinner and a fun night of camaraderie. Grand prize baskets featured items including a trip to Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, a champagne diamond tennis bracelet, and a Tiffany Floor lamp among other fabulous items. The night featured many unforgettable moments including the presentation of a Decade of Service Award to Board Director Lee Shulman and Dystonia Service Award to Lois and Norm Gebeloff. Lori Liguori Manasquan and E. Michael Shine were announced the winners of the 50/50 raffle. Both graciously donated their winnings back to DMRF. Jack Nathans who has dystonia and underwent successful DBS surgery in 2007 brought friends from his church confirmation class who volunteered to serve as runners for the evening—with 300 baskets to deliver they were busy! Friends of Carly Reynolds joined with her to also help with the prize distribution. Carly also has dystonia.
Many thanks to the Committee Members who worked so hard on this event all year long. This year's event raised $35,000. The NJ Chapter has raised $1,500,000 to-date for dystonia research.
Next year's Tricky Tray is scheduled for October 29, 2009.
