New England Journal of Medicine Advises People to Seek Credible Sources for Information on Movement Disorders

The DMRF supports the recommendation of the authors of the Letter to the Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine (September 22, 2011), "Movement Disorders on YouTube -- Caveat Spectator," encouraging patients and family members to be wary of information gleaned from potentially unreliable sources on the internet.

In this age of easy access, via the internet to various sources of information, it is very important that persons affected by dystonia and their family members, seek credible, balanced information from reliable sources like the DMRF. Patients armed with accurate information on dystonia and a knowledgeable physician are more likely to successfully manage their dystonia.
