Merz Reduces Cost of Xeomin
October 6, 2011--Merz Pharmaceuticals, LLC has reduced the price of Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), a type A botulinum neurotoxin therapy, by nearly 20 percent. "As a person living with dystonia, I know that treatment can be a significant financial burden for patients," said Art Kessler, President of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF). "We are pleased to see that Merz is offering Xeomin at a cost that will ensure access to therapy for the greatest number of patients, while continuing to offer the same high level of customer and patient support." Merz Pharmaceuticals, makers of Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), announced that the price has been reduced by nearly 20 percent. This change was initiated by Merz beginning October 6, 2011 as part of an effort to broaden access to Xeomin for patients. Merz offers a hotline for patients who are prescribed Xeomin and physicians at 888-4-XEOMIN (888-493-6646). The hotline provides information about services such as the Co-Pay Program and Patient Assistance Program. |
