Bette Levine, author of Learning, Coping, Living, has published a memoir entitled Hurricane Within Me. As one reviewer described it, "This memoir describes the authors successful struggle to maintain a strong sense of identity and self esteem despite an array of hurricane force challenges."

Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Bette married, had two boys, owned several businesses, and taught computer applications. She is the author of a series of children's books, The Talking Baseball 1 and 2.
