Juggle-In Celebrates the Gift of Coordination

Rochester Institute of Technology Students Join Fight to Cure Dystonia

Anyone who has been touched by dystonia can appreciate how drastically the disorder can impact a person's ability to coordinate even the simplest movements, such as picking up a pen to write or holding a ball.

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Juggling Club has been fighting this disease since 2001. Each spring these college students put on their Spring Juggle In to raise money to fight dystonia. Since 2001 these students have raised over $17,000 for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.

The RIT Annual Juggle-In has taken place for 31 years. It is the second longest running regional juggling festivals in the United States and one of the largest. This event consistently draws over 400 jugglers from around the US, Canada and Europe. This year's Juggle-In on April 19 includes open juggling in RIT’s Clarke Gym, workshops for beginners and experienced jugglers on a variety of props, competitions, raffle, and a public show in Ingle Auditorium at 8 pm.
