Group Leader Position Opening at VIB and K U Leuven
Due to the generous support of the Foundation for Dystonia Research, there is an opening for a group leader position in dystonia research in the Department of Molecular and Developmental Genetics at both Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. The Department headed by prof. Bart De Strooper has a strong neurogenetics program covering research into Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, mental retardation and fundamental questions concerning synapse, membrane trafficking, neuronal development and generation of brain circuits and brain aging. A new research group investigating the molecular pathophysiology of dystonia would fit very nicely in this program. The Department would not only support the group with generous financial means, but also with a platform of facilities including zebrafish, mouse, Drosophila, light and EM microscopy, genomic core facilities, etc., also embedded in the environment of the genetic clinic. Click here for the official announcement of the position. More information about the Neurogenetics Program in the Department can be found at: http://med.kuleuven.be/cme/page.html?section=neurogenetics&en |
