Dystonia has taught me that I am a unique individual. Living with dystonia has made me mentally and physically strong. I have learned that I am one of the lucky ones, because I am not a judgmental person and I see the world and people for what and who they are. I have also learned that I have a strong will. Not all people could go through what I have and still be positive.
I have learned that some people can be mean and hateful, and that others can be sweet and nice. I have learned that you can’t judge someone by his or her physical or mental disability. Deep down inside they have feelings just like everyone else. People with challenges have a heart and can find and feel love just like everybody else.
