Find activities that calm you
Find a physical outlet to use on a regular basis, even if you have physical limitations. Do not underestimate the ability of simple activities like a walk, a swim, stretching, or lifting light free weights while seated to calm inner tension. And sometimes distraction is the best thing of all—like a television show that makes you laugh or an absorbing movie or book.
