A Sister's Love
DMRF Member Competes in Chicago Marathon to Support DMRF

For the past six years my younger sister Stephanie has suffered from a debilitating disease called dystonia.  Her condition has progressed from being a healthy 14- year-old girl to requiring a motorized wheelchair and additional help to get herself through the day. Throughout her difficulties she has maintained a very positive attitude and has always pursued her dreams. She is currently a student at the University of Illinois and is training a puppy to be her service dog.

The Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2009 will be the third marathon I hope to complete, and it is the second race I have run to support research on dystonia in honor of my sister.Click here to sponsor me.
